OUR APPROACH
6-step success:
Your running roadmap
Our six-step process supports your personal running roadmap, guiding you steadily towards your running goals. This roadmap underpins our coaching philosophy and ensures a structured, adaptive approach to helping you achieve your running aspirations while minimising the risk of injury and burnout.
01.
Goal Setting and Assessment
We collaborate with you to define clear, achievable goals (e.g., completing a 10K, achieving a personal Parkrun best). We conduct an initial assessment of your fitness level, running history, and any limitations or injuries. This holistic approach ensures a tailor-made fitness journey just for you.
02.
Personalised Training Plan Design
Based on our initial assessment, we develop a tailored training program taking into account your goals, fitness level and schedule. This will include a mix of running workouts, strength training, and recovery strategies. We allow 12 weeks of coach/athlete collaboration to transition you successfully into a structured program.
03.
Foundation Building
Following the transition period, we now focus on building endurance, improving running form, and establishing consistency in training. Programming will include low-intensity runs, mobility drills, and gradual mileage increases.
04.
Progressive Development
We take you to the next step and introduce more challenging workouts, such as intervals, tempo runs, and hill training, to build speed and strength. Our coaches will monitor and adjust your program based on performance metrics and athlete feedback. From beginners to advanced, our fitness assessments ensure visible, measurable improvements.
05.
Event Preparation and Execution
We reduce your training volume in the weeks leading up to the goal event to allow your body to recover and peak. Here, we emphasise mental preparation, race strategy, and nutrition planning. Our coaches will prepare you for the event by providing you with pacing strategies and encouragement.
06.
Post-goal Reflection
We will conduct a post-event review with you to analyse your performance, celebrate your achievements, and set new goals for you.
